I think technology is so important to include in our classrooms. But I also believe there is a limit on how much we should use it. Kids now days are overly stimulated through technology portals. We need to make sure that we are still helping them build strong social skills and helping them to be able to function in real life situations once they are out our school. Our main goal is to help them to successfully function in society, and in order to do that we need to make sure we are able to balance the ways that we teach them, give them many different options in how to learn and associate with other people.
One thing mentioned in the 'Why Integrate Technology into the Curriculum' article was, "Effective technology integration is achieved when the use of technology is routine and transparent and when technology supports curricular goals." It believe there is a balance to everything that should be used in our classrooms. It can be extremely beneficial to students learning, but it may become the focus of all learning activities and that is when I believe it becomes a problem.
